Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-06

These terms apply to peleza.co.za and any associated services operated by Tselapele Talent (Pty) Ltd under the Pele ZA brand.

1. Agreement to these terms

Pele ZA ("Pele ZA", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Tselapele Talent (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/791490/07), a South African company trading as Pele ZA. It is the company you are agreeing with. The Pele ZA platform is built, hosted and maintained for us by LEVERWARE (Pty) Ltd, which owns it. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pele ZA website and services at peleza.co.za. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Who may use Pele ZA

If you are 18 or older you may use Pele ZA on your own account. If you are under 18 you are welcome here — most South Africans finish school at 17 or 18, and the CV builder, the vacancy checker and the government job listings are exactly as free and as available to you. Two things are different. A parent or guardian must agree before you create an account, because section 34 of POPIA does not allow us to process a child's personal information without the consent of a competent person, and because a minor cannot form a binding agreement on their own under South African law. And we will not include your profile in a shortlist sent to an employer until you turn 18; update your age group in your profile when you do. You confirm that the information you give us about yourself is true and your own.

3. What Pele ZA provides

Pele ZA does two things for two different people, and only one of them pays. If you are looking for work, everything here is free and stays free. Depending on the feature you use, it can help you: - Build and improve a professional, ATS-friendly CV - Check how well your profile fits a specific job (a match score and gap analysis) - Generate a tailored CV and cover letter for a specific role - Browse private-sector vacancies (aggregated via Adzuna) and government vacancies (from the DPSA Public Service Vacancy Circular) - Auto-fill the official Z83 government application form and prepare a one-tap application - Be put forward to an employer for a specific role, if you switch that on If you are an employer or a training provider, we source, screen and shortlist candidates for a role you are filling, and you pay us for that work. Section 12 sets out the terms that apply to you. Nothing you pay us is ever recovered from a candidate. Some features require an account. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

4. The AI produces guidance, not decisions

Pele ZA uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions — CV content, cover letters, match scores, fit assessments, and upskilling recommendations. This output is guidance only. It is not professional, legal, financial, or career-counselling advice, and it is not a decision about you. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying everything before you use or submit it. We do not guarantee that any match score, recommendation, or generated document is accurate, complete, or suitable for a particular application. We do not guarantee that using Pele ZA will result in an interview, a job, or any specific outcome. For government applications especially, always verify requirements against the official vacancy notice and the current DPSA circular — individual departments may state additional requirements, and circulars and forms can change.

5. Job listings and third-party content

Vacancy listings shown on Pele ZA are aggregated from third-party sources, including the Adzuna API and the DPSA Public Service Vacancy Circular. We do not create these listings, employ the advertisers, or control their content. We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, current, still open, or legitimate. Closing dates, salaries, reference numbers, and contact details are extracted automatically and may contain errors. Always confirm the details directly with the advertising employer or department before applying, and never pay anyone to apply for a public-service post — legitimate applications are free. When you apply, you may be directed to a third-party website or email address. Those destinations are operated by others and governed by their own terms; we are not responsible for them.

6. Your responsibilities

When you use Pele ZA, you agree to: - Provide accurate, truthful information about yourself - Not use the service to create false, fraudulent, or misleading applications or qualifications - Not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that belongs to someone else - Not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its data - Use the service only for lawful, personal job-seeking purposes We build our AI never to invent qualifications or experience you did not provide — and you agree not to misrepresent the output as anything other than your own genuine background.

7. Your account

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard.

8. Your content and ownership

You own the personal information and content you put into Pele ZA — your CV details, cover letters, and application data. You grant us a limited, revocable licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you (including sending the necessary text to our AI provider, as described in the Privacy Policy). Pele ZA, its name, logo, design, software, and content are owned by LEVERWARE (Pty) Ltd, which licenses them to us, and are protected by law. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative services from them without our written permission.

9. Free service and availability

Pele ZA is currently provided free of charge. We may in future introduce optional paid features; if we do, the terms and prices will be made clear before you pay. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may suspend or limit access for maintenance, to manage costs, or to protect the service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Tselapele Talent (Pty) Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of Pele ZA — including lost job opportunities, missed deadlines, reliance on AI-generated output, errors in aggregated job listings, or the actions of third-party employers, departments, or websites. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law, including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

11. Employment services, and what we do not promise

We provide employment services as the Employment Services Act 4 of 2014 defines them: career information, assessment of work seekers, referral to employers and training providers, and recruitment and placement services for employers. Employers and training providers pay us for that work. That makes us a private employment agency under the Act, and we hold ourselves to the duties that come with it. You never pay us. Section 15(1) of the Act prohibits charging a work seeker a fee for employment services, and nothing on Pele ZA costs you anything — not the CV builder, not a fit check, not a referral, not a placement. Nothing may be deducted from your pay for a placement either, under section 15(4). If anyone ever asks you for money in our name, it is not us. Tell us. We do not employ you. A placement is employment by the employer or enrolment with the training provider, not by us. We do not guarantee a job, an interview, or a place on a programme. We do not control hiring decisions, and we will not tell you we do. We only put you forward if you have said we may. Profile sharing is off unless you switch it on, you can switch it off at any time, and declining costs you nothing on Pele ZA. What we send is limited to your qualifications and professional experience as section 17 of the Act requires — never your ID number or your signature. Any application you make yourself, including any government application, is between you and that employer or department.

12. If you are an employer or training provider

This section applies to you in place of the sections above that speak to a work seeker. A vacancy brief is not an order. Sending us one starts a conversation and binds neither of us. We will contact you to confirm the role and agree terms in writing before we do any work, and nothing is payable until we have. Our commercial terms are agreed in writing, per client. Fees, payment terms, any replacement period, and the point at which a fee becomes payable live in that agreement. Nothing on this website is an offer, a quotation, or a price. What we send you about a candidate is limited by law, and confidential. Section 17 of the Employment Services Act 4 of 2014 limits what we may tell you about a work seeker to matters related to their qualifications and professional experience, so that is all you will receive. You may use it only to assess that person for the role we sent it for. You may not publish it, add it to a database of your own, or pass it outside your organisation. Once it reaches you, you are a responsible party for it under POPIA in your own right. Everyone we send you has agreed to be sent. Consent is per person and they may withdraw it. If somebody withdraws after we have introduced them we will tell you, although withdrawal cannot recall a shortlist already delivered. Do not engage our candidates around us. Where we introduce you to a candidate, engaging that person directly, through another agency, or through a company related to yours is treated as a placement by us. The period this applies for and what becomes payable are set out in the written agreement. You confirm that the role is real, that you are authorised to fill it, and that neither you nor anyone acting for you will ask a candidate to pay for anything connected to it. Section 15 of the Employment Services Act prohibits charging a work seeker a fee for employment services. We will end the relationship over a breach of this, without notice.

13. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and explains your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Please read it at peleza.co.za/privacy.

14. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we update the "Last updated" date and the version number above, and we ask you to agree again the next time you sign in — an acceptance recorded against older wording stops counting, so you are never held to terms you have not seen. For minor changes that do not affect your rights, continued use after the updated date means you accept them. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using Pele ZA and delete your account at any time.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
